History

Being an electrician is a job with great enjoyment for me as working with electricity every day is a job that takes great skill, garners respect and frequently offers instantaneous satisfaction with the results. Guaranteed Electric was established in August of 2012. Before Richard West and Tommy King Jr. came together as business partners and owners, they trained for many years in the electrical business in the field and behind the scenes. We managed another electrical company for 5 years before starting Guaranteed Electric. On any given day both Richard and Tommy are out on the job.

My grandfather owned and operated Guarantee Auto Electric in Bradenton from 1922-1972. In an effort to preserve our local roots and make it our own, we added a “D” to the company name, thus Guaranteed Electric was born.

Richard West

Richard is a lifetime resident of Manatee county and 4^th generation from Manatee County. He has two daughters and has been married for 15 years. He graduated from Manatee High School and Manatee Junior College with an A.A degree in pre engineering and attended USF in the capacity of mechanical engineering. Richard obtained his electrical license in 2012.
When not on the job he enjoys boating and horseback riding with his family and wife. He owns two horses and one pony and speaks Spanish fluently as a second language.

Before Guaranteed Electric Richard owned a tile and marble installation company called Absolute Quality Tile & Marble Inc. Customers still call and ask if he is a tile and marble contractor.

Tommy King Jr.

Tommy is a life long resident of Bradenton. He graduated from Southeast High School in 1995. He played football for 2 state championship teams in the mid 90’s. After High School he attended MCC before working in the construction industry. He spent a short time doing concrete and phone work before getting into the electrical trade in his early 20’s.
He has been married to his beautiful wife, Josi since 2005. They have 4 children together. Tommy spends as much time with his family as he can when he is not working. He is involved in his church, which he has attended since he was a child. He loves to watch sports and enjoys spending time outdoors with his kids, fishing, and waterskiing. He is looking forward to growing the business with Richard and watching his kids and business grow.
